Settime's Ancient Church
The church’s origins date back to the 13th century. The building is first mentioned in a document from 1259. Built in the Romanesque style, restoration work completed in 2001 brought its hidden frescoes to light. It remains one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in the Asti countryside.
The History of the Castle
Perched on a hilltop since the 13th century, Castello di Coazzolo has watched over the Langhe hills for over seven hundred years. Originally home to the noble Cacherano family, the castle passed through the centuries until 1592, when it was given as a wedding gift to Beatrice of Portugal on her marriage to Carlo III of Savoy. During the Baroque period, its medieval features were softened into the more refined, elegant residence visible today. Surrounded by vineyards and rolling countryside, with sweeping views toward Monviso, the castle remains a magical place.
